The state of art turbine-gearbox mechanism with built-in bypass and flanged directly to a gearbox represents a significant advance in hose reel irrigators drive system and makes the system very reliable form a performance point of view.
The turbine is made with a special aluminium alloy and machined using automatic machine tools. The turbine-gearbox system has eliminated the transmission belt and the external bypasses. However, in addtion to the internal by-pass, the machine has also an external by-pass line to be optionally used in high volume water applications.
The turbine is connected directly to the gearbox and the bypass is internal. This keeps the pressure absorption to a minimum, allowing the machine to run more smoothly. Every machine is complete with its manuals and instruction stickers, spare parts lists and performance sheets to make the end user run the machine very easily by themselves.

Turbine driven hard hose irrigators produce the the power reqired to rewind the hose reel by usingthe water flow going through a turbine. Hence why efficiency of the turbine is crucial to run the irrigator.
Casella's turbine is directly integrated to the gearbox to minimise the power loss between the turbine and gearbox.
Also, its by-pass mechanism specifically designed to handle water flow rate between 600 and 1250 l/min with minimum friction loss.
The gear box is directly connected with turbine and ring gear with ultimate technology in order to provide minimum pressure loss and enhanced performance for the hose reel.
The turbine's cap can be easily removed to clean if there is any solid material in the housing.
The highly efficient and durable 4-speed gearbox has manual break system that will be used during hose unrolling process and easy to use gear shift mechanism.
The water flow adjustment in the turbine is controlled by an electric motor which is constantly operated by the machine's computer. It seamlessly controls the water flow rate in the tubine based on the desired run speed of the irrigator.

Casella Hydro Control 260 Computer System
Solar energy powered rewinding speed control from 5 to 100 m/h.During irrigation the back-lit display shows: irrigator recovery speed in m/h, remaining length to be rewound, remaining time to the end of irrigation.
Hydro Control 260 computer system allows you to pause rewinding the hose reel at the beginning or end of the run.
Also, it closes the inlet valve by controling its electric motor at the end of the run. This auto water shut-off mechanism cuts the water slowly in 4 minutes. This system requires pressure sensor on your pump. Otherwise, the functionality can be disabled for manual operation.

Big Casella quality drum consists of single piece sheet metal in the centre and strong side tabular bars. One piece sheet metal in the centre of the drum is crucial for the life span of the hose.
